Presidents Charity - 2019

Founded in 1955 Botton Village was the first Camphill centre to offer opportunities to adults with learning disabilities and other special needs.

Botton Village and its farms nestle in Danby Dale in the beautiful North York Moors National Park. Itís not far from the towns of Middlesbrough in one direction and Whitby, Scarborough and the Yorkshire coast in the other.

More than 30 houses make up Botton Village. Our village provides a high standard of housing with sturdy farmhouses, purpose-built accommodation, modern barn conversions and houses designed, offering a comfortable and homely atmosphere.

We have our own Village Hall, the Joan of Arc Hall, which provides a high-quality venue for performances, shows and gatherings. Thereís a church, a village store, a coffee bar and a post office too.

We have a wide range of workshops and other social-cultural and training activities which provide the opportunity not only for people to contribute to their community but also the potential to develop skills, gain valuable hands-on experience and feel valued and appreciated.

Many, many thanks for all of you that supported my Charity Day event both by attending and also by donating in any way. The total money raised on the day for the Camphill Village Trust is £342.70.
